[Official] We have an exam date: 15. 2. 2021
Dear Students,

you may have seen: we have a date for the AI-1 Exam this year, 15. 2. 2021.

We do not yet know the time and place, in my experience this will be communicated early in February.

I will publish the respective Covid-19 rules shortly before the exam.

If you are not on the list, but want to take the exam, please tell me beforehand (if you have not already done so) and we will issue a Schein.

With so many participants, there are bound to be time collisions with other exams. We will deal with those flexibly (e.g. by letting you write the exam in the time slot before/after the AI-1 exam and escorting you to the next exam…); please tell me if you are affected.

Best,

Michael Kohlhase

bonuspoints in exam
Do we know how many points are needed in the exercises for the maximum bonuspoints in the exam?

The total number of points from all regular assignments (excluding Kalah).

How are the bonus points calculated?

Again, the maximum number of points (= bonus points) that is reachable is the sum of the (bonus) points for all assignments excluding Kalah.

In case you are referring to additional points or “bonus bonus points” (through bonus challenges, bug hunting, especially good solutions, etc.): they do not increase the maximal number of (bonus) points. In other words the formula for your points is:

your points = min(your points, sum_0^n(reachable_points(assignment_i)))

No, I was not asking for the maximum number of points, but the calculation formula for our points reached in the exercises → actual bonus points that are added to the exam score.

As the maximum possible score without Kalah seems to be sth like 1000, they surely won’t be directly added to the exam score. So what I am asking for is a scale, e.g. 100 assignment points → 1 exam bonus point, 200 assignment points → 2 exam bonus points etc.

100% bonus points corresponds to 10% of the reachable exam points. So you can at most improve by 10%. However, the bonus points can only be added if your exam points are enough to pass.

Thank you.
