Question regarding assignment 8
In question 8.1.3 it says

You are not sure what kind of mood your flatmate was in on Wednesday, but it was either good or neutral, with equal probability.
Given the music he played today and yesterday, use the matrix version of smoothing to determine the probability distribution of Moody’s mood yesterday.

Was Wednesday the day before yesterday? Am I missing something or how should we know?

I have the same question. It is unclear which days yesterday and today refer to.

Ah, sorry for not making that clearer. Wednesday is meant to be the day before yesterday (today = Friday, as far as the problem statement is concerned).
