Can somebody help me with the second part of 6.1?

Assignment 6.1
I have a problem understanding the solution to the second part of 6.1.
I just switched the utility in the U(s’) in the equation for the EU(Play) with mlogn(k). Why do we need mlogn(2^k).

because the payout is 2^k,not k. The utility refers to the amount of money you win, not the number of coin throws.
