The department for media systems and applications in Erlangen, Germany, is part of the audio and media technologies division, best known for its work on MP3 and AAC. We develop software for and together with global leaders in the broadcasting and streaming industry. Our products include streaming servers and packagers, media players for various platforms, and many more, across the whole chain from media production to playout devices.

What you will do

  • Operate, improve, and maintain a lab environment for modern media production technologies
  • Maintain close relationship with our partners
  • Contribute to the development of new media production technologies

What you bring to the table

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • A strong sense of responsibility and commitment to your work
  • Experience in the following areas
    • Professional media interfaces (SDI, MADI, ST 2110, AES67)
    • Network and streaming protocols (TCP/IP, RTP)
    • A/V media production
  • Programming skills with a focus on C/C++ and scripting languages
  • Proficient in English, written and spoken

The position is initially limited to 2 years with the aim to extend it subsequently. The weekly working time is 39 hours. This vacancy is also available on a part-time basis.
